Providing exceptional and unforgettable fairy entertainment, In the Company of Fairies™ is dedicated to playfully awakening a sense of magic, possibility and wonder in the hearts of children.
At In the Company of Fairies, we know that a birthday party is a very special day in a child’s life that can create a life-long memory. We believe in not only providing the very best in entertainment, but in nurturing children’s innate creativity and imagination to give them an experience as joyful, wondrous, and empowering as possible.
With a feeling of fairy authenticity and a generous dose of sparkle, we pay attention to every detail. We strive to make costumes as authentic as possible, from real silk skirts to iridescent wings that shimmer. We love the best, such as genuine quartz crystals for props and gift bags, because children love it when it is ‘real,’ and so do we.
Fairies are nature sprites that help care for others, so in turn, In the Company of Fairies is dedicated to helping the environment and community. We volunteer for organizations that support children or the environment, including the Juvenile Diabetes Association, Children’s Hospital, and various Parent Participation Preschools. We do what we can to reduce our carbon footprint, from using earth-friendly products in our fairy office, to recycling and promoting respect of the natural world.
Bryony Lake, Queen of the Fairies
Born on Midsummer’s Eve in a tiny cottage in the English countryside, I was named after a flower fairy (really!) and was always drawn to fairies and magic. My mother is a visual artist, so I grew up with a paintbrush in hand, and I loved to dress up in her flashy disco outfits. As an adult, after a comical effort trying my hand at banking, I realized I needed to follow my heart and dreams, and with that came a connection to the fairies and the enchanted realms.
Following that passion, I am now an award-winning face painter and a skilled performer with over ten years experience entertaining children. I performed with Public Dreams Society and other organizations for many years, performed internationally, and taught children’s theatre classes for a number of years. I also have an honours degree in Psychology and love painting watercolours.
I have designed and led children’s parties since 2007, and launched In the Company of Fairies in the fall of 2010, which is the result of my dream to bring the magic and playfulness of the fairies to children. Since that launch, I have had the pleasure and honour to lead over 1000 parties. I look forward to connecting with you and hearing about the little fairy in your life!
