We get asked all sorts of wonderful questions at parties. So, we had a super-sparkly idea! We are going to start a ‘Dear Fairy’ column. Different fairies may respond each time, so please send in a question (or two!) from you or your little one, and we will add it to a future post. Here’s the start, with Isha:
Do fairies celebrate Christmas?
That’s a wonderful question, especially with Christmas just around the corner. The truth is, that fairies celebrate everything! We LOVE to celebrate. When we visit the human realm, we will celebrate with humans whatever they get up to – we love Christmas, and also Hannukah, Diwali, so many special celebrations that happen.
In Fairyland, we love to celebrate the changing of the seasons, because we are so connected to nature. Coming up soon is a very important day for fairies – the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year. After that day, days become longer and longer, and the summer fairies get more and more excited. Right now they are just having lots of naps and counting the days until it gets warm again. ; ) But the snowflake fairies, autumn fairies, and ice pixies, are all busy and happy. I love the cold and snow. The summer fairies, however, could happily turn it into warm summer raindrops…
Wishing you a warm and wonderful Christmas,
Isha, Snowflake Fairy Queen
