So, you have chosen to have a Fairy come to your child’s birthday Vancouver. Wonderful! Now how to decorate?
We want to start by saying, there is absolutely no requirement to decorate! If you have lots on your plate (as every parent does…) then by simply having a Fairy at the party, you’re already destined for success. After all, we look like decorations with wings, we must admit…
And, if you would like to take it further and make your home or venue look like it’s part of the Fairy Lands, read on….
We have seen LOTS of wonderful decorations over our years of kids parties in Greater Vancouver, and here’s some of our favourites.
- Flower Garlands: a simple way to make some magic, hang large or small tissue paper flowers from your ceiling, arches, walls, or lights. Having a number of them creates a magical ambience. And, they can be a fun project to create together with your wee fairy!
- Fairy Lights: easy, fast, and highly effective, hang fairy lights of many colours, or all white, around. They quickly transform a space into a magical garden full of sparkling fairies. Add a few flower garlands if you wish, and you have the next best thing to the Fairy Lands.
- Fabric Palace: this one is over the top for those who like things super-fancy! Get many yards of sheer fabric, organza works well, and drape around the room. Add some flower garlands, fairy lights, and you have a secret fairy palace that fairies and fairy princesses alike will love to be in.
And, if the party is outdoors, then you have Mother Nature’s decorations. She’s the best!
